SANTA MONICA, Calif., (January 29, 2009) --- More than just fun and games, Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier sets the stage for its all-new Seaside Pavilion for corporate events and family outings while introducing five new family-sharing kids’ rides in 2009.

“This year’s line up of new kids’ rides is definitely a highlight in the Park’s history of providing unparalleled family fun,” says Jeff Klocke, director of marketing and sales at Pacific Park. “Our goal was to make sure parents had the option to participate in their child’s experience by presenting an interactive, dynamic family-style environment that everyone would enjoy.”
New to Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier for 2009:

Inkie’s Air Lift

Three, Two, One… families lift off for fun with the all-new Inkie’s Air Lift featuring the combined movements of a Tea Cup ride and a hot-air Balloon race. Riders can rotate the car while the balloon rises up and down.
Outlined with flashing lights and outfitted in bold rainbow colors, Inkie’s Air Lift seats children and adults in the eight hot-air balloon-like cars.

Sig Alert EV

These are not your parents’ bumper cars… but they are welcome to hitch a ride in the all-new Sig Alert EV (electric vehicles) that spin 360 degrees and feature a dual joy stick lever control allowing for full turns right, left, front and back for easy maneuvering.
The futuristic cars are equipped with neoprene covered bumper tubes that safely absorb the shock of bumping while providing a hover-like ride. Unique to these cars is the protective high back headrest that is the ultimate in safety and style.

Sea Planes

Off they go into the wild blue yonder… families will be flying high together in the all-new Sea Planes as they control the height and speed of ascent of the plane while flying above the pier decking.
Brightly colored Crop Duster-style planes take off with up to four children and adults safely and comfortably seated for the family flight.

Rockin’ Tug

Ready, Set, Sail… for family fun in the all-new Rockin’ Tug as riders experience an exciting combination of rocking and whirling motions simulating a sea-like adventure.
The harbor-styled tug features bright yellow, red and blue colors with life preservers lining the sides and accommodates up to 12 children and adults for a rockin’ good time.

Santa Monica Pier Patrol

Keep on truckin’… in these family-styled vehicles poised to patrol the Santa Monica Pier as they ride along a track through beach scenes complete with palm trees, sand and a lifeguard chair.
These eight themed, custom colored, junior-sized trucks can comfortably seat children and adults for a fun family outing under the California sun

Seaside Pavilion

Meeting time, playtime or anytime… the all-new Seaside Pavilion provides a cool respite from the hot action enjoyed at Pacific Park.

The 3,300-square-foot Seaside Pavilion is the perfect venue for corporate events, wrap parties, movie premiers, company meetings, sales incentives and more. And families will enjoy the setting for weddings, birthdays and special events. Custom packages and catering is available.
