  • WHEEL OF FORTUNE: Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier’s all-new Pacific Wheel Ferris Wheel 2008 campaign turned more than 1,500 media stories including television coverage in 49 of the top 50 US markets, nearly 224 million impressions worldwide and a campaign advertising media equivalency of almost $5 million.

    High-profile stories include two ABC World News Tonight and ABC World News This Morning stories; Good Morning America; CBS the Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson; Live with Regis and Kelly; two Fox News Channel stories; CNN Headline News; and Fox Business Network.

    Notable newspaper and/or website stories worldwide include two Los Angeles Times front page photos and captions in Main news and California section, The Times (United Kingdom), USA Today, Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, AOL News, MSNBC.com, FOXNews.com, CNN.com, Yahoo.com homepage and eBay.com homepage among many others.

    In addition, three Associated Press (AP) stories written and picked up by Agence France-Presse (AFP) and United Press International (UPI); and nine photos over two events were moved by Associated Press (AP), Reuters, Agence France-Presse (AFP) and United Press International (UPI).

BEST OF AMERICA – Obtained Best Solar System in Reader’s Digest’s annual America’s 100 Best 2006 issue for Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier’s Pacific Wheel, the world’s first solar-powered Ferris wheel, which was seen by nearly 40 million readers for more than $1.3 million in media equivalencies.

PLAY TIME - Secured a coveted spot in Parade Magazine’s annual Parade Holiday Picks 2004 featuring Sentence Says, The Quick-Thinking Sentence Creation Game, which is featured in more than 340 Sunday newspapers reaching over 36 million households and seen by more than 76 million readers resulting in an increase in sales of more than 400 percent for MarBan Industries Inc., and nearly $2 million in media equivalencies.

“TITANIC” LAUNCH - Executed publicity plan for the “launch” of Titanic: The Movie on Tour, an exhibit of props, sets and costumes for the blockbuster movie for Paramount Parks. Achieved extensive regional and national coverage, including stories on Entertainment Tonight, E! News, CNN, The New York Times, USA Today, TV Guide, The Hollywood Reporter and the Associated Press.

OFF THE WALL - Created the gaming industry’s first Southern California advertising campaign utilizing a 12-story mural or “Tall Wall” on Sunset Boulevard (the famed Sunset Strip) targeting the Las Vegas visitor. Resulting PR included live coverage on all four LA morning TV shows.

WELL-READ CARPET - Generated over $7 million in media equivalencies for Harrah’s $200-million celebrity-studded grand-reopening celebration. Publicity generated more than 71 million impressions, through outlets such as Entertainment Tonight, CNN Showbiz Today, USA TODAY, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times and The New York Times.

NO ORDINARY DAY AT THE BEACH – Implemented crisis communications plan in wake of extensive gunfire between the Santa Monica Police Department and perpetrators resulting in a 16-hour hostage situation and Santa Monica Pier lockdown. Managed local, national and international media.

A wide range of experience in working with local and national political and community leaders. Selected achievements include:

•Attended 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver as credentialed media for the Orange County and Long Beach Blade magazine.

•Arranged appearances and/or proclamations by Nevada Governor Kenny C. Guinn and Henderson, Nev., Mayor James B. Gibson for Desert Capital REIT’s New Building ceremony and Gladys O’Donnell 1930 WACO Taperwing airplane wing conference room table dedication.

•Arranged proclamations by California State Senator Sheila Kuehl and City of Santa Monica with appearances by State Legislative representatives and Santa Monica Mayor Feinstein for Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier featuring Wylan Mural unveiling and La Monica Swing dedication.

•Worked on the successful Senate campaign for then California State Assembly member Sheila Kuehl.

•Arranged appearances and/or proclamations by Senator Rosenthal, Mayor Riordan, Councilman Feuer and Councilman Bernsen for PCS Development’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony featuring the $25 million post-earthquake renovated complex in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

•Arranged Nevada Governor Bob Miller news conference with Hector Mon to coincide with Harrah’s fourth Annual Survey of Casino Entertainment.

•Arranged Las Vegas Mayor Jan Laverty Jones to attend Harrah’s function for the Haninan Provincial People’s Government.
